Zackson Ronald "Ronnie" Lord

Pembroke-  Zackson Ronald “Ronnie” Lord, age 81, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at The Oaks in Pooler.  Mr. Lord was born in Stilson, GA on April 25, 1941 to the late Clarence Jackson Lord and Lillie Lee Lasseter Lord.  Mr. Lord was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and retired after decades of service.  He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Pembroke, where he served on the parade committee and was instrumental in the maintenance of the building.  Mr. Lord enjoyed camping, traveling, hunting and especially loved to fish.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Lord was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Doris Ann O’Quinn Lord and one brother and sister-in-law, James Clarence and Betty Lord.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Donna Lord of Pembroke; one daughter, Gwendolyn Connell of Glennville; four grandchildren, Phillip Randall Lord, Melissa Louise Lord, Shelly Christine Young, and William Cody Gunter; and two great grandchildren, Zackson Daniel Lord and Alexandria Nicole Young.

Visitation will be held 9:30-11 A.M. Monday, May 30, 2022 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Monday, May 30, 2022 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Ricky DeLoach officiating.  Interment will follow at 2 P.M. in Greenwich Cemetery.
