William "Joe" Dykes, Jr.

Mr. William Joseph “Joe” Dykes, Jr. age 68, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Mr. Dykes was born in Camp Lejeune, NC to the late Williams Joseph Dykes, Sr. and Annie Cowart Noel on June 13, 1952. After high school he served in the U.S. Army and attended The Bridge. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and never missed a game. Mr. Dykes loved children, train trips and collecting baseball cards.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father, Kendall Leroy Noel.

Survivors include his friends and caregivers, Howard and Helen Amelsberg of Ellabell.

Due to COVID-19 the funeral home will limit the amount of guest at one time and ask that guest practice social distancing as well.  Face mask are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Northside Cemetery with Doctor Lawrence Butler officiating.
