Violet Sumlin Ingram

Mrs. Violet Sumlin Ingram, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Hospice Savannah. Mrs. Ingram was born on December 31, 1945 to the late William Sumlin and Fannie Winslow Sumlin in Jacksonville, FL. She worked for Bellsouth for over 20 years as an electronic technician, was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and sports. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rose Marie Allen and Ruth Ann Butler and sister, Evelyn Mock. 

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, William Ingram; daughter Amanda Ingram Plexico (Steve) of Allendale, SC; three grandchildren, Allen Riggs, Jr. (Krista) of Glen St. Mary, FL, Davis Riggs (Kayla) of Glen St. Mary, FL and Jessica Allen of Jacksonville, FL; four great grandchildren and two cats. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church, 5500 Long Branch Cemetery Road, Jacksonville, FL. 32234.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ted Mock officiating.

Burial will be in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
