Victor P. Floyd

Pembroke- Mr. Victor P. Floyd, age 94, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at his home while under hospice care. Mr. Floyd was born at the family home in Pembroke to the late Hershel L. Floyd and Estelle Smith Floyd. He attended Bryan County High School and was co-owner and operator of Floyd LP Gas Company for 24 years. Mr. Floyd was a member of Pembroke Christian Church, enjoyed farming, and loved taking care of his animals and his yard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Eloise Merritt Floyd, one son, Victor Stephen Floyd; one son-in-law, Bob Howell and four brothers, including Harold Carlton Floyd.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Vicki Floyd Howell of Pembroke and Sandra Elizabeth “Beth” and John Parker of Pembroke; six grandchildren, Robert Keith “B.J.” Howell, Jr., Joel Alexander Howell, David Alan Parker, John Michael Parker, Rachel DuBois, and Jordan Floyd and six great grandchildren.

A  graveside memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Northside Cemetery.
