Victor Bowers Duggar, Jr.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Victor Bowers Duggar, Jr. of Pembroke, Georgia, announces his passing on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the age of 82. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. Victor Bowers Duggar Jr. was born on November 21, 1941, to Victor Bowers Duggar and Gladys Duggar in Savannah, Georgia. He spent the majority of his life in Pembroke and the surrounding Savannah area. Known fondly as "Bubba" Duggar during his youth, he was celebrated for his exceptional athletic talent at Jenkins High School, excelling in football, baseball, and track and field, where he was once named "The Fastest Man in Georgia." Victor was also an avid golfer. Every Saturday morning, before the family woke up, he was already on his way to meet his favorite golfing buddy and high school best friend, Ron Burroughs, along with Ed Hendrix and other friends at the Claxton or Black Creek golf courses. He often brought his own golf cart to the course. Over the years, he won several awards in tournaments, and it was always a special treat for him to play on the renowned courses at Hilton Head or Daufuskie Island (Melrose).

After spending much of his early adult life as a salesman in various industries, Victor found his true calling when he founded Wesvic's Clothing & Shoe Brokers Inc. in 1976, which he successfully built from the ground up. However, his greatest passion was tending to his beautiful estate in Pembroke, where he could often be found from sunrise to sunset, working on his tractor and maintaining his expansive grounds. Victor was truly one of a kind, the life of every party and family gathering, always ready with a joke to make people laugh. Even during his battle with cancer, his sense of humor and will to live remained unshaken, bringing smiles to those around him. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Pat Y. Duggar, and his children: Victor Bowers Duggar III, Jeffery Scott Duggar (wife Angelica), Dana Duggar Burns (husband Jim), James Christopher Duggar, Wesley Randolph Duggar (wife Danielle), and Robert Boyette. He also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: James Lindeland, Tyler Gordon, Dillion Boyette, Conner Gordon, Samuel Duggar, Drew Logan Duggar, Dalton Duggar, andGrace Duggar. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchildren Alayna Gordon and Clara Lindeland.
