Susan Lea Hilaman

Mrs. Susan Lea Hilaman, 75, passed away on November 13, 2024 at Friends of Caroline Hospice. Mrs. Hilaman was born on August 16, 1949 to the late Lee Council Church and Agnes Lucille Huffman Church in Elkton, MD. She worked as a hairdresser for over 45 years, attended Olive Branch Baptist Church and loved drawing and collecting mice figurines. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Hilaman, Jr. and Chad Hilaman, Sr.; two brothers, Kenneth Huffman and Jerry Church and two grandchildren, Joseph Franks and Piper Franks. 

Survivors include one daughter, Candi Franks (Sam) of Pembroke; son, Russell Hilaman (Wendy) of Elkton, MD; one sister; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
