Sue Long

Mrs. Sue Roberts Long, age 63, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Savannah to the late Leland Benjamin and Desma Harris Roberts on July 14, 1958. Mrs. Long was a 1976 graduate at Bryan County High School and a 1987 graduate at the Florida Baptist Theological College where she received a Bachelor of Religious Studies. She was currently employed with Petite Feet, Inc. as a sales associate for over 10 years and previously worked for 6 years with Hester & Zipperer Feed & Seed as a sales associate. Mrs. Long was very active and loved her church family where she attended at Olive Branch Baptist Church. She taught Children’s Sunday School, was on the church social committee and decorated for events in the church social hall. Mrs. Long enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, scrap booking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Collins.

Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Randy Edward Long; two children, Ryan Andrew Long of Ridgeland, SC and Lindsey Ann Long of Greer, SC; two brothers, Carey Roberts and his wife Teresa of Ellabell and Mark Roberts and his wife Sandra of Ellabell; four sisters, Sheryl Horowitz and her husband Michael of Savannah, Cathy Tarver and her husband Art of Pembroke, Tammy Minis and her husband Travis of Ellabell and Pam Baker and her husband Jim of Ellabell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church with Brother Pete Wall officiating.

Burial will follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
