Steven Edward Blalock

Mr. Steven E. Blalock, age 69, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Griffin House surrounded by his family.  Mr. Blalock was born June 26, 1954 to the late Edward and  Oneta Lewis Blalock.  He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Claxton where he served many years as a deacon.  He served over 10 years as a Firefighter with Claxton Fire Department.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an excellent gunsmith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Oneta Lewis Blalock.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years Linda Dozier Blalock; son, Jason Blalock (Stephanie) of Claxton, daughter, Elizabeth Hood (Jeremy) of Claxton, brother-in-law David Dozier (Pam) of Cumming, GA and four grandchildren, August Smith (Trevor), Jhase Blalock, Aralyn Blalock, and Katt Keel

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 9:00 – 11:00 at Sikes Chapel, Claxton, GA.

Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 with Reverend David Daus and Reverend Freddy Gardner officiating.

Burial will be held at the Sikes Chapel Cemetery.
