Sonia Anderson

Mrs. Sonia Marie Anderson, 56, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Anderson was born on February 28, 1962 in Savannah to Delfin and Ann Mitchell Chavira. She was a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union having worked for 20 years with Kroger in the meat department. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed fishing, her cats but most important of all was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Delfin Chavira; brother, Michael Chavira and grandmother, Kathleen Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Michael P. Anderson; son, Michael H. Anderson of Pembroke; daughter, Ashley Brabham and Stephen Miller, Sr. of Pembroke; two brothers and sisters-in-law,  Mannie Chavira and Pam Chavira of Bloomingdale and John Chavira and Michelle Chavira of Savannah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Chapman and Norman Chapman, Sr. of Rincon and Laurie Bazemore and Danny Ray Bazemore of Black Creek; three grandchildren, Stephen Miller, Jr. of Pembroke, Aubree Miller of Pembroke and Destiney Lynn of Virginia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Spencer officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
