Shirley Ann Crawford

Mrs. Shirley Ann Crawford, age 85, passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Mrs. Crawford was born in Pembroke to the late Roosevelt Shellman and Nora Tisdell Shellman on October 13, 1938. She was a loving and caring house wife and enjoyed fishing, sewing, reading and spending time with her family. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Bloomingdale.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of eight years, Washington Crawford; three brothers, Frank Shellman, Johnny Shellman and Bennie Shellman; sister, Marybell Shellman; grandson, Victor Thomas and two great grandchildren, Alexis Evans and Jarmarion Evans.

Survivors include her four children, Barabara Shellman of Pembroke, Yvette Thomas of Pembroke, Theron Shellman of Manhattan, NY and Brian Murray of Pembroke; brother, Wallace Shellman of Midway; sister, Linda Bellamy of Glennville; six grandchildren, Zorzavior, Pee-Wee, Gareth, Charmain, Popa and Justin; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
