Mrs. Shelia Teresa Scott, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Scott was born in Savannah to the late Walter Howard and Claudine Miles Rhiner on April 30, 1957. She was employed for over 10 years at Kutchey’s Auto Parts and then as a parts retailer with Sears for 13 years. Mrs. Scott was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed tending to her flower garden, enjoyed cooking and feeding people. She loved watching her humming birds and her two dogs Rio and Gizmo and liked to travel. She was a great wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Howard Rhiner and Claudine Miles Rhiner.
Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, James “Scotty” Scott, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Teresa Scott; sister, Daphne Rhiner Stuck; two nieces, Jennifer Womack and her husband Wesley, and Tracy Cobb and her husband Jason; three nephews, Wayne Mayo, Lee Mayo and Jim Newton and his wife Megan; five great nieces, Alison Womack, Leanna Mayo, Emily Mayo, Aubrey Newton and Lexie Newton; two great nephews, Baylon Cobb and Brody Cobb and cousin, Debbie Phillips and her husband Ricky.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Rincon First Christian Church, 5835 Highway 21 South, Rincon, Georgia 31326.
Memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Owens officiating.
