Mrs. Sharon Royal Parker, 59, passed away on Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Parker worked for Memorial Hospital as a secretary for the physical therapy division, was a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide at Bryan County Middle School and High School, and worked in the insurance division of Wells Fargo serving the Georgia Ports Authority.   She was the Salutatorian of Southeast Bulloch graduating class of 1974 and was a member of Saint Andrew Anglican Church in Savannah.   Mrs. Parker was a pianist, enjoyed arts and crafts, loved to garden.  There was nothing was more important to Sharon than her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of over 42 years, Ernest Lewis Parker; son, Caleb Parker and his wife Jennifer Smith-Parker of London, England; two daughters, Amanda Fox and her husband Patrick of Savannah and Hillary Parker of Pembroke; sister, Linda Sue Royal of Pembroke; mother-in-law, Evie Parker of Savannah and five grandchildren, Brayden, Rowan, Bridgit, Connor and Audrey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jeff Baker officiating.

Burial will follow at Ellabell United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, 608 Hampton St. Savannah, GA 31405.
