Sgtmaj. Albert Van Oostrom

SgtMaj. Albert Van Oostrom, 79, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Van Oostrom was born in New York on April 2, 1941 to the late Gerard and Estelle Warshaw Van Oostrom. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Vietnam War. His primary military occupation was an aircraft firefighter and he retired as a Sergeant Major after serving over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gerard Van Oostrom and his mother, Estelle Warshaw Van Oostrom.

Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Nell Marie Cole Van Oostrom and several other family members as well.
