Pembroke-Mr. Sammie Gordon Rogers age 33 passed away at home Saturday November 3, 2012 . Mr. Rogers was a life-long resident of Pembroke and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was a mechanic and loved to fish and hunt, enjoyed gardening, and listening to music. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents L.F. "Doc" and Nellie Howell Rogers and his maternal grandparents Vernon and Christine Jernigan.
He is survived by his parents Barry M. and Deborah Jernigan Rogers of Pembroke, three brothers and sister-in-law Jamie and Gin Rogers of Statesboro, Allen Rogers (Rachel Floyd) of Pembroke, and Jason Rogers (Casey Noll) of Statesboro; two sisters and brother-in-law Mikki Rogers and Jodi Fender and Marty Rogers-Martinez(Alex) of Hinesville and other family members.
Visitation is 6-8 P.M. Thursday November 8, 2012 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be 11 A.M. Friday November 9, 2012 at Northside Cemetery with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. www.flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
