Russell Daniel "Hutch" Hughes, Jr.

Mr. Russell Daniel “Hutch” Hughes, Jr., age 45, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. Mr. Hughes was born in Savannah to Russell Daniel Hughes, Sr. and Beth Winter Hughes on July 27, 1976. He was employed as a foremen with Elite Structural Design, was an avid collector of hot wheels,  an Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Falcons fan.  Hutch loved being outdoors and fishing.  He loved Pepsi, sweet tea and fireballs.   Mr. Hughes was always the life of the party, was known for his smile and loved the entire tribe of Hughes kids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Daniel Hughes, Sr.; five grandparents, Joe Winter, Eloise Winter, Joy Winter, Winnie Fanning Hughes and Garland Hughes.

Survivors include his mother; Beth Winter Hughes of Pembroke; six children, Madaish Hendrix (Ira) of Millen, Chelsea Way of Illinois, Tristian Neff, Trenton Hughes both of Tennessee, Zoey Hughes and Patrick Boelens both of Midway; three sisters, Misty Jones (Alvin) of Pembroke, Ashley Smeelie (Nick) of Tallahassee, FL and Joyce Samuels (Mark) of Middleburg, FL; six grandchildren, Camden, Kashtyn, Laila, Kiera, Tyson and Keymon; special cousins, Gene Bashlor and Wyatt Hughes (Katie); best friend, Scotty Norris and nieces and nephews, Joshua, Alyshia, MyKayla, Dez, Jace, Aden, Ian, Kimora and Amyiah.

The family will receive friends 11 A.M. to Noon on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the funeral home.  A celebration of Hutch's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel.

Inurnment will follow at Northside Cemetery.
