Greenville, NC- Mrs. Ruby Pearl Sanders Hill, age 81 passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at East Carolina University Hospital. Mrs. Hill was born in Metter, GA to the late Thomas Reuben Sanders and Susie Johnson Sanders. She retired as a manager in garment production in Greenville and was a member of St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville. Mrs. Hill loved to fish and was an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne “Rabbit” Williams and Eddie Williams and two daughters, Vivian Purvis and Wanda Sue Williams.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Elvis and Linda Williams of Statesboro, James Williams of Ellabell, George Williams of Groveland and Russell and Courtney Williams of McDonough, GA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Turner of Metter and Christina and Frank Stetson of Shellman’s Bluff; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 2, 2022 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Kurt Bacon officiating.
Interment will follow in DeLoach Cemetery.
