Roma Jeanette Smith

Savannah- Roma Jeanette Caldwell Smith, age 80, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born in Tennessee to the late John Caldwell and Miriam Lucille Broxton Williams. Mrs. Jeanette work in production at Sunbeam Bakery and was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed family time, especially with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed shopping. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Charles Allen Cooler and a granddaughter, Renee Lynn Cooler.

Survivors include husband, Robert Brown of Savannah, sons, James David Cooler of Bloomingdale, Nelson Bennett Smith of Guyton and Phillip Frawley of Savannah; two daughters, Lisa Marie Smith of Savannah and Roma Jeanette Smith of Garden City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Jeanette Hadwin of Ellabell, Lee Williams, Jr. and his wife Angie of Ellabell and James and Carrie Williams of Pembroke; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara and Howard Mathis of Pembroke, Judith and Kevin Dyas of Hilton Head, Betty Jean and Rick Arnette of Savannah and Kim Daigle of Savannah; grandchildren, David Ray Lambert, Joshua Aaron McFearin, Taylor Renee McFearin, Kayla Sierra Cooler, Charles Allen Cooler, Jr. and Clarrisa Nichole Nelson; and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.
