Pembroke- Robert Calvin Bacon, age 57 passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his home. Mr. Bacon was born in Statesboro on November 13, 1962 to the late Jimmy Bacon and Cora Lee Bishop Owens. He was a 1983 graduate of Bryan County High School, was a logger for over 35 years and currently worked with Harvey Logging. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, James and Lisa Bacon of Richmond Hill, Sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny and Danny Shuman of Pembroke and Janice and David Rouse of Statesboro; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Nick Stockford, Holly and Jason NeSmith, Keith and Kayla Shuman, Austin Rouse and Katie Bacon; great nieces and nephews, Rileigh Stockford, Alex Stockford, Kirsten Shuman, Kase Shuman and Kinslee NeSmith
Friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects 1-2 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 the funeral home will limit the amount of guest at one time and ask that guest practice social distancing as well. Face mask are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.
Graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Northside Cemetery.
