Robert White, Sr.

Mr. Robert Ferrell White, Sr., 75, passed away Thursday at Candler Hospital. Mr. White, Sr. was born on January 17, 1941 in Groveland, GA to the late Cleveland Wesley and Sadie Lee Driggers White. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, was a member of Ellabell United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked for the Carpenters Union #256 for 26 years and enjoyed collecting coins and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by five brothers, C.W. White, Gene White, John White, Joseph White and Edward White; two sisters, Patty Hopping and Diane White.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Todd White; two sons, Robert F. White, Jr. and his wife Jane of Blackshear and Russell White and his wife Melissa of Statesboro; two daughters, Susan Follmann and her husband Steven of Chapin, SC and Beth Bierman and her husband Bill of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Clayton White and his wife Barbara of Ellabell; sister, Linda Souls and her husband Paul of Ellabell; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Combs officiating.
Burial will follow at Ellabell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Robert White, III., Curtis White, Cody Bierman, Tyler Bierman, Chris Follmann and Colby White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles White, Cleve White, Clayton White, Patrick White and B.J. Crews.
