Robert Norman Hughes

Mr. Robert Norman Hughes, 64, passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Mr. Hughes was born on December 1, 1959 in Clifton Forge, VA to Robert Garland Hughes and Ruth Virgene DuBois Hughes. He was a member of The Advent Christian Church and was employed for over 20 years as a equipment mechanic with Robbin's Packing Company. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Virgene DuBois Hughes and brother, John Mark Hughes. 

Survivors include his three daughters, Kara Hughes (Kenny York) of Statesboro, Heather Anderson (Tory) of Statesboro and Kalee Hughes (Ben Strickland) of Luthersville, Ga; father, Robert Garland Hughes of Pembroke; brother, Duncan Lorian Hughes (Melissa) of Clarksville, GA; two sisters, Brenda Muterspaugh (Dale) of Virginia and Robin Gail Schroeder (Eric) of Tennessee ; 6 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.

Burial will be held at Northside Cemetery.
