Richard "Ricky" Alfred Sikes

Ellabell- Richard “Ricky” Alfred Sikes, age 63 passed away Sunday July 30, 2023 at East Georgia Hospital.  Mr. Sikes was born in Savannah to the late Robert Darrell Sikes and Jaqueline Clifton Sikes.  Mr. Ricky retired from International Paper with over 40 years of service as a mill technician.  He loved to hunt, fish and spending time with his family.  Mr. Ricky also loved sports including the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Brave, Falcons and Hawks. 

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Piercy Sikes of Ellabell;  two sons and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Wendy Strickland of Ellabell and Jason and Mistie Strickland of Pembroke; two daughters and a son-in-law, Amy and Tim Barclay of Guyton and Nancy Walker of Beaufort, SC; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Sue Sikes of Blitchton, Rusty Sikes of Savannah and Raymond and Donna Sikes of Savannah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Kevin Cobb of Savannah and Karen and Chris Thompson of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous cousin, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M Friday, August 4, 2023 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
