Richard John Goetzman, II.

Mr. Richard John Goetzman, II., 68, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Mr. Goetzman, II. was born in Albany, NY to the late Richard John Goetzman, I. and Joyce Breymilleri on January 29, 1957. He enjoyed dirt racing and Nascar and was the scorekeeper at Oglethorpe Speedway Park and Screven Speedway. Mr. Goetzman, II. was a lifelong truck driver and was also a certified volunteer firefighter for 20 years with different fire departments where he resided. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Janet Goetzman father, Richard John Goetzman, I.; mother, Joyce Breymilleri and step mother, Joan Goetzman. 

Survivors include his five children, Richard Goetzman, III. of Lenox, GA, Berry Hardwick (Kristy) of Ellabell, Timothy Goetzman of Chapmansboro, TN, Bryan Hardwick (Heather) of Pleasant View, TN and Becky Hovey (Jason) of Springfield; brother, Roger Goetzman of Sylvester, GA; sister, Rosemary Goetzman (Kenny) of Rochester, GA; eight grandchildren, Zachary Goetzman, Hailey Hardwick, Makayla Harwick, Alyssa Hardwick, Alexander Pardue, Brock Means, Alexis Hovey and Emily Hovey and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Memorial service for Mr. Richard John Goetzman, II. will be private.
