Polly Williams

Pembroke- Mrs. Polly Alberta Bragg Williams, age 57, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Candler Hospital.  Mrs. Williams was born April 10, 1963 to the late Ira and Katie Hill Bragg.  Mrs. Williams was a 1981 graduate of Bryan County High School and is also a 1985 graduate of Georgia Southern University.  She worked in accounting on Ft. Stewart for over 39 years and was the director of the G 8 department.  Mrs. Williams had a deep love for her family and attended Beulah Baptist Church.  She was a wonderful cook, especially her sweets and loved vacations, boating and camping.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Polly was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Hires

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Glennis E. Williams of Pembroke; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Williams and Pamela Hamilton of Black Creek; one sister and brother-in-law, Calamity and Spencer Mikell of Pembroke; two brothers and five sisters-in-law, Danny and Janice Bragg of Pembroke, Dave and Linda Bragg of Pembroke, Glenda Williams of Brooklet, Sharon Roberson of Brooklet and Melissa McGowan of Brooklet; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Williams was eagerly expecting her first granddaughter, Amelia in January.

A graveside service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Northside Cemetery with Elder Mike Newman officiating, assisted by Rev. Dan Bryant.

Due to COVID-19, face mask and social distancing are mandatory.
