Peggy Miller

Barney, Georgia- Peggy Irene Ashmore Miller, age 79 passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Lakehaven-PruittHealth in Valdosta.  Mrs. Miller was born September 25, 1942 in Savannah, GA to the late Julian Sinclair Ashmore and Willie Irene Anderson Ashmore.  Mrs. Miller was a employee of Savannah Morning News where she worked in circulation and accounting department for over 30 years.  She enjoyed reading and was a member of The Bridge.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband of 28  years, John Willard Miller.

Survivors include her sister, Julia Clare Spiers of Barney, Ga; her nephews, George Clarence Spiers of Barney, GA and Jeffrey Shane Spiers of New Berry, FL and longtime friends, Vanassa Collins of Pembroke and Patrick Butler.

Visitation will be held 12 P.M. – 2 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at The Bridge.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at The Bridge with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating.

Interment will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
