Patricia Lanier

Pembroke-  Mrs. Patricia Ann McCoy Lanier, age 74,  passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her home while surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Lanier was born in Bulloch County to the late Alton and Mary Davis McCoy.  She was a long-time resident of Pembroke and retired after 30 years of service as a home health aid with Ogeechee Home Health.  After retirement, Mrs. Lanier began caring for the elderly in their homes.  She loved her flower garden and had a green thumb.  She was a member of Lawrence Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, but her best times were in her rocker on her front porch.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lanier was preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby McCoy, Billy McCoy, Donnie McCoy and Terry McCoy.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William E. Lanier, Jr. “Billy. of Pembroke; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Ann and Tony Jones of Brooklet; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Matthew “Matt” and Erin Lanier of Pembroke and Jason Harley Lanier of Brooklet; one brother and four sisters-in-law, Richard E. “Ricky” and Gail McCoy of Pembroke, Janara McCoy of Bellville, Catherine McCoy of Pembroke and Marcia McCoy of Pembroke; two sisters and  brothers-in-law, Mary Ruth and Steve Bacon of Waycross and Annette and Ray Bacon of Pembroke; grandchildren, Ashley Warren, Dwayne Warren, Melony Sims, Brandi Goldwire, Cody Warren, Kristin Jones, Kimy Jones, Carly Lanier, Mallorey Thompson, Marley Thompson, Will Lanier, Emmy Claire Lanier, Megan Eason, Blake Lanier and Anna Kate Lanier; 12 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Morrison Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in Lawrence Church Cemetery.
