Nita Hager McLaughlin

Mrs. Nita Hager McLaughlin, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her residence. Mrs. McLaughlin was born in Savannah to the late Walter James Hager, III. and Martha “Toby” Lucas Hager on October 1, 1957. She enjoyed watching television and movies, crafting, playing board and card games and loved praying for people and was called “God’s favorite child” by her family. Mrs. McLaughlin was employed for 25 years with Savannah Candy Kitchen. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Kavin “Dwan” McLaughlin; one brother, Walter James Hager, IV and one son-in-love, Dewey Lance Kysar.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan “Dianne” Hagar and her husband, Brian of Pembroke and Jessie Kysar of Pembroke; brother, Ennis Hager and his wife Lori of Richmond Hill; sister-in-love; three grandchildren, Timothy Hagar and his wife Bonnie of Athens, Corey Hagar of Athens and Brittany Hagar and her boyfriend Joseph Smith of Tobyhanna, PA; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Gary Broad of Pooler. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at New Life Family Church in Midway at 6:00 p.m.
