Nancy Marlene Shackleford

Hinesville-  Nancy Marlene Shackleford, age 64 passed away Friday, August 4, 2023.  Mrs. Shackleford was born January 24, 1959 in Claxton, GA to the late Herbert Threatt and Jean Shuman Threatt.  She had a Bachelor of Education and was retired as a school teacher for Long County Board of Education.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hinesville, loved tending to her flowers, and loved teaching children, especially those with special needs.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shackleford was preceded in death by one brother, James Darrell Threatt, Sr.   

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jamie David Joshua Buck of Hinesville and Christopher William Rufus and Marie Buck of Ridgeland, SC; three grandchildren, Zachary Buck, Audrey Buck and Virginia Buck, niece, Katie Nicole Threatt and nephew, James Darrell Threatt, Jr.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2023 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
