Ellabella�"Mr. William "Dean" Smith age 81 passed away Tuesday March 11, 2014 at home. Mr. Smith was a former resident of Florida and a retired Lawn Care Service owner and a member of Pembroke Assembly of God. He loved his family and was a hard worker all of his life. He loved to quilt and made many and shared them with family and church friends. He was heavily involved in the Boy Scouts when his children were small where he served as a Scoutmaster. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Lora Adelle Yaw Smith and his parents Loren Kenneth and Alice Smith.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Donna Smith of Ellabell and David and Becky Smith of Marquette Heights, ILL, two daughters and son-in-law Delora Lynn Shelton of Jacksonville, FL and Cindy and Bill Christiansen of Peoria, ILL; two brothers and sister-in-law Tom and Joanne Smith of MS and Roy Lee Smith, and sister Susie Jo Brataeen of MS, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 1 P.M. Saturday March 15, 2014 at Cross Way Worship Center in Pembroke with Reverend Micheal Altman officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
