Mr. Tommy Rogers

Ellabell- Mr. Tommy G. Rogers, age 70 died Sunday morning, October 7, 2012 at his home. Mr. Rogers was a lifelong resident of Bryan County and retired after 22 years as a foreman checker at the Georgia Ports Authority. He was a lifelong member of Pembroke United Methodist Church and a member and past master of Pembroke Masonic Lodge Local 469. Mr. Rogers was an avid fisherman, enjoyed reading, gardening and the outdoors. He was predeceased by his parents, L.F. "Doc" and Nellie Howell Rogers.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Coursey Rogers of Ellabell; two sons and daughters-in-law Richard R. and Lee Rogers of Niceville, Fl and Russell E. and Jalaine Rogers of Ellabell; brother and sister-in-law Barry and Debra Rogers of Pembroke; sister and brother-in-law Lynn and Glenn Cockrell of Aiken, SC; four grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Trent and Ailee Rogers and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Bryant and Rev. Matt Avera officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
