Ellabell- Mr. Thomas "Tommy" E. Douglas, Sr., age 56, died Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Tommy was a machinist and welder at Quality Machine Shop of Savannah and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, crabbing, shrimping, camping and especially enjoyed helping people. Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Zackie Douglas and brother Lamar Douglas.
Survivors include his wife of over 27 years, Brenda K. Douglas of Ellabell; one son, Thomas E. Douglas, Jr. of Ellabell; mother, Jessie Mae Douglas; sister Pauline McKenzie and brother Dewayne Rudd; one aunt, Maggie Douglas and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be a part of the regular worship service at 11 A.M. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Grace Christian Church of Midway with Pastor Michael Morgan officiating.
