Pembroke-Mr. Steven Dennis Hughes age 56 passed away Monday December 24, 2012 at Ogeechee Area Hospice of Statesboro. Mr. Hughes was a native of Bulloch county and a member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 26 for 30 years. He was a member of Lawrence Baptist Church and was very musically inclined and an excellent guitarist. He was predeceased by his parents Lee Dennis and Evelyn Foxworth Hughes.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Cathy Hughes of Pembroke, daughters and son-in-law Melody Nichole and Curtis Perateaux of San Diego, CA, and Stephanie Hughes of Pembroke; sisters and brother-in-law Cheryl H. Walker of Statesboro and Lynn and Tommy Beasley of Lawrenceville, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service is 10:00 A.M. Friday December 28, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
