Mrs. Mary Pruvis

Ellabell- Mrs. Mary Nell Powell Purvis, age 79 died Saturday, October 20, 2012 while under the care of Hospice Savannah. Mrs. Purvis was a long-time resident of Ellabell and a homemaker. She was a member of Pembroke Assembly of God, loved to fish and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Purvis was preceded in death by her husband Dan Purvis, son Michael Purvis and granddaughter Nikki Sanderson.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Danny and Faye Purvis of Ellabell, Randy and Sandra Purvis of Groveland, and Tommy and Sandra Purvis of Ellabell; daughters Barbara Faye Sanderson of Bulloch County, Lisa Vincent of Ellabell, Danelle Brinson and Pat Walls both of Cobbtown and Judy Bacon of Pembroke; brothers Willard Powell of Pembroke, Kenneth Powell of North Reidsville, and Perry Powell of North Georgia; sister Shirley Mauldin of Effingham; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Harold O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery. Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
