Pembroke/Savannah-Mrs. Lizzie Mae Stokes Lowe age 91 passed away Monday May 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Lowe was a longtime resident of Pembroke and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Reverend Benjamin Irwin Lowe, Jr. and her parents Charles Henry and Elizabeth Cribbs Stokes and a granddaughter Sherry Crosby.
She is survived by two sons Rex Irwin Lowe of Leesburg, FL and William Perry Lowe of Ellabell, three daughters and son-in-laws Barbara Ann L. and Francis Allen Crosby of Statesboro, Betty Elizabeth L. and Phillip Wayne Celland of Savannah, and Isabelle L. and Wayne Morrow of Pembroke; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 6-9 P.M. Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Thursday May 29, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
