Ellabell- Mrs. Eva Dell Sowell Pittman age 84 passed away Tuesday November 13, 2012 at home. Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker and a longtime member of Bloomingdale Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy. She was a volunteer caregiver to the elderly, a wonderful cook, an avid seamstress, enjoyed her flower garden, and loved her family dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Pete and Alma Steedley Sowell.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years James Lavelle Pittman of Ellabell, sons and daughter-in-laws James L. and Karen Pittman, and Ronnie and Lisa Pittman all of Statesboro, daughters and son-in-laws Ann and Ed Fosburgh of Bloomingdale, and Connie and Tom Black of Macon; brothers J.U. "Mutt" Sowell, Omer Lee Sowell, and Gene Sowell all of Waycross and Marcus Sowell of Stone Mountain; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson, and other family members.

Visitation will be Friday 11 A.M.-1 P.M. at Bloomingdale Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral service is Friday 1 P.M. in the church sanctuary with Pastor Mark Minter and Pastor Tom Black officiating.
