Ellabell-Mrs. Brenda Smith Gavin age 72 passed away Monday April 28, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. While surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Gavin was a member of Blitchton Baptist Church and was retired as a day care teacher at Calvary Day Care for over 40 years. She loved crafts, crocheting, her family and her church. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Arthur Eugene Gavin, Sr. "Buzzy", her parents Brooks W. and Nellie Roberson Smith and brother, Richard Smith.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Arthur Eugene Jr. and Kim Gavin of Delaware, and Gerald Anthony Sr. and Dorothy Gavin of Statesboro, a daughter and son-in-law Tammi Luree and Tom Olbrysh of Pooler; two brothers and sister-in-law Brooks W. Smith, Jr. of Hardeeville, SC and Mary Smith of FL, three sisters Marjorie Findley of Savannah, Marie Raun of Rocky Top, NC, and Patricia Cauley of Savannah; eight grandchildren Christopher and Debra Olbrysh, Candise Olbrysh, Jessica Gavin, Gerald Anthony Gavin, Jr., Sarah, Shelby, Cassidy and Robert Gavin, and one great-grandaughter Audree Nicole Cox.
