Pembroke-Mrs. Betty Jo Brown Findley age 81 passed away Wednesday February 20, 2013 at Kindred Rehab Center in Savannah while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Findley was a longtime resident of Pembroke and had served over 7 years with the North Bryan Forestry Unit as an observer at the tower in Ellabell. She also worked at Claxton Manufacturing in Pembroke and was a member of Grace and Truth Church in Metter. She is predeceased by her parents Nolan and Eula Cook Brown, four brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years W. B. Findley of Pembroke, sons and daughter-in-laws Lavon and Annette Findley of Ellabell and Billy Findley of Metter; daughters and son-in-law Amanda and Eddie Crews of Sylvania and Joann Roberts of Bloomingdale; sister Mary Ann Simons of Guyton, six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and other family members.
Visitation will be 6-9 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. www.flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
