Ellabell- Mrs. Allie Linza Jay Wilson age 71 passed away Monday March 10, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Wilson was formerly a resident of Pembroke and a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Church of God in Pembroke. She loved her family, and gardening especially flowers, reading the Bible and the newspaper. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years Burnice D. Polk, and by her husband of 25 years Thurston L. Wilson and her parents Idis Perry and Ella Jones Jay, and two sons Joe Rex Polk and Marvin Franklin Polk.
She is survived by daughters Joann Bragg of Ellabell and Ramona Steverson of Macon, step-children Shirley Mayo of MS and Joyce Powell of Jackson, GA; son Julian D. Polk of Jackson, GA, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and other family members.
Visitation is 6-8 P.M. Thursday March 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Friday March 14, 2014 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. www.flandersmorrisonfueralhome.com
