Mrs. Dorothy Lavonne Anderson

Mrs. Dorothy Lavonne Anderson age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Metter. Mrs. Anderson was born on December 23, 1932 in Jacksonville, FL. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Claxton Manufacturing, was a member of Deloach’s Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenwell Anderson; son, Jackey Len Anderson; mother, Ellie Davis; two brothers, Farley Raulerson and Farest Raulerson and sister, Betty Miller.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Anderson and his wife Karen of Brooklet and William C. Anderson; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at DeLoach Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
