Mrs. Catherine Elise Smith Cribbs

Spartanburg, SC

Mrs. Catherine Elise Smith Cribbs, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn in Spartanburg, SC. Mrs. Cribbs was born in Pembroke on February 23, 1928 to the late Gordon Smith and Zelma Mason Smith. She was employed as an accountant for over 25 years with WABCO. Mrs. Cribbs was a long-time member of Pembroke United Methodist Church where she was a member of the UMW. Mrs. Cribbs enjoyed to paint, gardening, flowers and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Cribbs; son, Larry Cribbs; brother, Artie Smith and sister, Elvie Owens.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Easley of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Annette Butler and Monteen Cowart both of Pembroke; two grandchildren, Mark Easley and his wife Caroline of Greenville, SC and John Easley of Las Vegas, NV and two great grandchild, Flora Belle Easley of Mentone, AL and Daniel Hayes Easley of Greenville, SC.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Cemetery.
