Pembroke-Mr. Ronnie Collins age 60 passed away Wednesday June 13, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Collins was formerly of Savannah and had lived in Pembroke for the last 12 years. He was a fabricator and welder for over 25 years with Savannah Tank Manufacturing Co.; where he was an ASME and X-RAY certified welder. He was a true craftsman of metal. He was an excellent cook, an avid golfer, loved vegetable gardening, and most especially loved his family. He is predeceased by his parents Jerry Lee and Anna Theresa Groves Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Toni Gabrielson Collins of Pembroke, two sons and daughter-in-law Derek and Brandi Collins of Statesboro, and Kevin Collins of Pembroke, a daughter and son-in-law Amanda Hawk and Jeremy Evans of Guyton; a brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Jeannie Collins of Springfield, a sister and brother-in-law Linda and Ken Duggar of Guyton, one grandson Brayden Leo Collins, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 4-6 P.M. Sunday June 16, 2013 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be 11 A.M. Monday June 17, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Reverend Tony Hewitt officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
