Pembroke-Mr. Phillip Eugene "Minute Man" Rogers, Sr. passed away Thursday February 6, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mr. Rogers was a member of Emmanuel Community Church and was a painter for CCI in Jesup and Coastal Industrial Contractors. He loved racing and especially NASCAR, and he loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents James Leon and Waynetta Louise Barbee Rogers, and brother Jackie Rogers.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law Phillip, Jr. and Karen Rogers of Pembroke and Justin Rogers of Claxton, two brothers and sisters-in law Tommy and Jan Rogers of Blitchton and Donald D. and Cindy Rogers of Jesup, three sisters Janice Brantley of Eden, Linda Rogers of Savannah, and Jodi Rogers of Eden; three grandchildren Gabrielle Rogers, Cyrah Rogers, and Alyssa Rogers all of Pembroke, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 4-7 P.M. Sunday February 9, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Monday February 10, 2014 in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Mitchell Lynn officiating.
