Pembroke- Mr. Perry Kyle "P.K." Parrish, age 96, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at his daughter's home in Charleston after an extended illness. Mr. Parrish was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII. He retired after 37 years of service with Seaboard Railroad as a trainman and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Parrish was predeceased in 1990, by his wife of 47 years, Juanita Hill Parrish.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law Helen Ivy of Charleston, S.C. and Brenda and Donald Laney of Summerville, S.C.; one sisters, Ruby Holloway of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 3-6 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
