Pembroke-Mr. Jack Beaufort Hutchinson 89, a long time resident of Pembroke passed away Monday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family. He lived life to fullest to the very end. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Hutchinson was of the Baptist faith and loved gardening, also keeping his yard the best looking one in the neighborhood. Jack Hutchinson proudly served his country 35 years in the US Navy as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman retiring in 1975 to his childhood home in Pembroke to start the next phase of his life. He became gentleman farmer and loved the people of the Pembroke community.
He was predeceased by his father John Thomas Hutchinson and mother Essie Mae Ginn and two brothers Jerrell and Fred Hutchinson.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Virginia, his five children and their families, and two sisters and nieces and nephews. His children are Pat Moberg, her husband Peter and her two children Eric and Sue; Mike Hutchinson, his wife Terri and their daughter Amy; Alice Calloway, her husband Terry and their children Brett and Melissa; Martha Hutchinson; and Nancy Hutchinson; his sisters Blanche Ballatta (sons Tom and Wayne) and Ruth Parker (sons Bill and Tom) and his nephews Tommy and Bob and niece Linda (Jerrell) and niece Margaret (Fred).
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday September 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service is 9 A.M. Friday September 7, 2012 in the chapel with Reverend Dan Bryant and Reverend Jesse France officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA. with full Military Honors.
