Pembroke-Mr. Gerald David Barnard, age 66 passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at home in the presence of his loving family. Mr. Barnard was a longtime resident of Pembroke and was owner and operator of Barnard Bar-B-Q. He loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends with whom he enjoyed many good times. He is predeceased by his parents Benjamin Edgar and Susan Janie Newman Barnard.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Patsy Barnard of Pembroke, son David Allen Barnard and daughter Jennifer Lynn Kinard both of Pembroke; brother Bobby Jerome Barnard of Nevils, two granddaughters Abigail Katelynn Kinard and Anna Danielle Barnard; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 6-9 P.M. Tuesday July 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday July 18, 2012 in the Chapel with Rev. J.E. Rawls and Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
