Ellabell- Earl Eugene Blitch, Sr., age 72 died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice after an extended illness. Mr. Blitch was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces having served in the Vietnam War. He was an electrician, a member of the International Brother of Electrical Works, and attended Southland Baptist Church. Mr. Blitch loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an excellent mechanic. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Blitch, parents Raymond Felton and Maggie Lou Blitch; and three brothers Roy, Ray and Richard Blitch.
Survivors include one son Earl Eugene Blitch, II of Graham, WA; one brother Thomas Cleveland Blitch of Claxton; sisters Ann Stanley of Glennville, Dot Wiggins of Pembroke, Rhonda Walden of Sylvania, Linda Strickland of Claxton and Glenda Wratchford of Guyton; sister-in-law Dot Blitch of Pembroke and one grandson Branden Blitch of Milton, WA
A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Wed. Dec. 4, 2013 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Strickland officiating. Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
