Pembroke- Mr. Daniel L. Hoskins, age 74 died Saturday, June 29, 2013. Mr. Hoskins was a native of Savannah and had lived in Bryan County for over 37 years. He was retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service as a machinist and later retired from American Cyanamid/Kemira with over 22 years of service. Mr. Hoskins was an excellent carpenter who loved working with wood. He was also a good cook and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan; but his favorite time was spent with his grandchildren. Mr. Hoskins was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Thelma Hoskins.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law John E. and Lynn Hoskins of Pembroke and grandchildren Jennifer Hoskins, Lauren Hoskins, Nicholas Hoskins and Seth Hoskins all of Pembroke.
Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Rick West officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to American Legion Post 164, Pembroke or the American Red Cross. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
