Mr. Charles Minis, Sr

Ellabell- Mr. Charles A. "Chuck" Minis Sr., age 48 died Friday, April 4, 2014 at his home while under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. Mr. Minis was a lifelong resident of Ellabell and was a iron worker and an excellent heavy equipment operator. He love collecting and painting matchbox cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. Chuck loved gardening and fishing, and took pride in his crafts, especially his woodwork. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Minis and Jo Ann Kangeter; sister, Robin A. Fountain; and granddaughter, Caylynn E. Minis.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy L. Minis; one son, Charles A. Minus, Jr.; stepson Scottie Thompson; stepdaughter Rebecca L. Rogers; stepfather Benny J. Kangeter, brothers and sister-in-law Travis E. "TeeDee" and Tammy Minis and Stanley Trent Minis; sister and brother- in-laws Amanda J. and Robbie Daniels and Brian K. Fountain; grandchildren Colby G. Minis, Tristan A. Minis; step grandchildren Jaden M. Dixon, Michael K. Dixon and Makayla B. Dixon and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 3 P.M. Monday, April 7, 2014 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with interment to follow in First Baptist Church of Ellabell Cemetery.
