Mr. C. Cowart

Ellabell-Mr. Claude W. "C.W." Cowart , Jr. passed away Tuesday at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. Mr. Cowart was an employee of Union Camp for 31 years where he was a mechanic at the saw mill and later in the bag factory. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical. He was predeceased by his parents Claude William Sr. and Ellen Cowart and a son Jack Cowart.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dorothy Roberts Cowart of Ellabell, sons and daughter-in-laws Randall and Gail Cowart of FL and Carl and Angela Cowart of Guyton and Gail M. Cowart of Ellabell, daughters and son-in-laws Audrey and Kim Calhoun of Springfield and Patricia and Mickey Clack of Faulkville, ; two very special granddaughters Carla and Josh Wilson of Ellabell and Nisa Cowart of Florida; one very special grandson Eddie and Stacy Cowart of Ellabell; brother and sister-in-law John L. and Carolyn Roberts of Pooler; several nieces and nephews, friends and many other loved ones.

Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11 A. M. Friday in the chapel with Rev. Darnell Barner officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family would like to recognize the special care recieved while at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
