Ellabell-Mr. Arthur Eugene Gavin, Sr. "Buzzy" age 72 passed away Tuesday November 12, 2013 at Hospice Savannah while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Gavin was a member of Blitchton Baptist Church and retired from Thomas and Hutton Engineers after 45 years as a land surveyor. He loved to fish and hunt and spending quality time with his family. He was preceeded in death by his parents Gerald Patrick and Hilda George Gavin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Brenda Smith Gavin, two sons and daughters-in-law Arthur Eugene, Jr. and Kim Gavin of Delaware, Gerald Anthony, Sr. and Dorothy Gavin of Statesboro, daughter and son-in-law Tammi Luree and Tom Olbrysh of Pooler; eight grandchildren Christopher and Candise Olbrysh, Jessica Gavin, Gerald Anthony Gavin, Jr., Sarah, Shelby, Cassidy and Robert Gavin, and one great-grandaughter Audree Nicole Cox (Gavin).
