Mr. Millard “PeeWee” Herb, 74, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Landmark Hospital with his family by his side. Mr. Herb was born in Ellabell on February 20, 1943 to the late George and Carrie Bell Powell Herb. He worked for over 35 years with Asplundh Tree Expert Company as a tree surgeon, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Herb was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of over 53 years, Theresa S. Calahan; sons and daughters-in-law, George M. and Lynn Herb of Hudson, FL and Charles M. and Angel Herb of Pembroke; daughters and sons-in-law, Frances H. and Robert Vassallo of Stilson, Becky L. and Justin Corvin of Charlotte, NC and Marcia L. and Wendell Wells of Pembroke; brother and sister-in-law, John Henry and Diane Herb of Pembroke; sisters and brother-in-law, Angie and Joe Roberts and Mildred Cribbs; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating.
